For clients to electronically process credit card payments through your secure client portal, you must be registered with an approved merchant account gateway. Having done so, there may be limitations and/or requirements you want set for credit card access from the portal.
The card requirement settings can be found and adjusted by going to Settings > Client Portal Settings > Payment Cards.
Note: Some portal settings can be overridden for an individual client by going to Portal Permissions from a client's Overview page.
Show Diagnosis Codes*
Makes diagnosis codes visible to clients when viewing and printing invoices from the portal.
Card required upon Login*
Yes - Requires the client to have a credit card of file before they can access most features of the client portal.
No - Entering a card is optional, clients are not prompted to enter card details.
Prompt - The card details page will pop up automatically once, and the client to choose whether or not to enter a card.
Card required to Schedule*
Requires the client to have a credit card on file before they can schedule appointments.
Can delete Cards*
Allows clients to be able to delete create cards on file.
*If enabled for the portal, these settings can be disabled for an individual in their Portal Permissions.
