Progress Note

The Progress Note template provided allows for easy data entry and can be customized to fit your needs.

 

NOTE: If you are interested in using a custom internal session form to substitute for the built-in progress note, contact your account manager about enabling the progress note form setting to allow the system to monitor for note completion in the PN column of sessions list pages.  Custom progress notes can not link to the Treatment Plan or WHODAS, and will not have the drop-down diagnoses list, as the built-in progress note template does.

Where to find and fill out the Progress Note template:

 

Option 1

1. Select the Clients icon, and then click on the desired client’s name from the Active client list.

2. Click the Treatment tab.

3. Click the New DSM-5 Progress Note link.

4. Fill out the Progress Note and click the Save Completed Progress Note button.

Option 2

1. Click on Calendar icon and select a specific session time.

2. Click the Progress Notes tab.

3. Click the New DSM-5 Progress Note button.

4. Fill out Progress Note and click the Save Completed Progress Note button.

Option 3

 

1. Select the Sessions icon.

2. Select a tab to view a list of a particular set of sessions. Choose from: Today, Week, Recent, Awaiting Confirmation, History, All, Recently Cancelled, All Cancelled.

 

3. The columns on the right display SN (Session Notes), PN (Progress Notes), INV (Invoice), and HIC (Health Insurance Claim).  An icon displayed in those columns indicates that a document has been created for that session. Clicking on a document icon allows you to view and edit that document.  

 

A gray plus sign + indicates that no notes exist for that session. Click on the plus sign in the PN column for the appropriate session.

4. Click the New Progress Note button.

5. Complete the Progress Note for that session and click the Save Completed Progress Note button.

How to disable default sections of the Progress Note template:

 

1. Select the Settings icon and then the Practice Settings tab.

2. Select the Treatment & Progress option from the menu options on the left.

3. Click the "click here to manage" link under Treatment & Progress Note Options.

4.Click the radio buttons to enable/disable default sections of the Treatment Plan that you do not want included.

5. Click the Save Settings button.

How to edit the list of Strategies and Interventions

 

1. Select the Settings icon and then the Practice Settings tab.

2. Select the Treatment & Progress option from the menu options on the left.

3. Click the "click here to manage" link under Treatment Strategies & Interventions.

 

 

4. a.To remove an active option, click the red "X" next to that option.
 
4. b.To add an inactive option, click the green "+" next to that option.  
 
4. c.To add an intervention not already listed, type the option into the text box at the top, then click the Add Strategy/Intervention button.

 

Note: All changes are automatically saved.

 


 

How to prepopulate sections of new progress notes with info from the previous saved note:

 

1. Select the Settings icon and then the Practice Settings tab.

4.Click the radio buttons to enable/disable the copy feature for each Progress Note section.
