Uploading files as attachments for specific clients enables you to share workbooks, instructions, and other documentation that are best downloaded and kept by the specific client, rather than being filled out online. Additionally, it is an effective way to securely store client records that are tied to the specific client in the system.

How to add an attachment for a specific client:
1. Select the Clients icon, and then click on the desired client’s name from the Active client list.
2. On the blue menu bar click the Attachments tab.
3. Click the Upload New File button if uploading just one file, or the Upload Multiple Files button if you're uploading more than one file at a time.
4. Select whether to allow the client access to the file or keep it internal by clicking the button for either Shared with client on secure portal OR Internal use only.
Note: If you select "Shared with Client" and you have Shared File notifications enabled, upon saving, the client will automatically be sent an email notification alerting them to the shared file and instructing them to log in to access the newly shared attachment.
5. Enter a Description.
6. Select a Folder where the attachment will be stored (Optional). To learn more about setting up folders click here
7. Click the Browse button, then select file in the pop-up window.
8. Click the Upload button.
IMPORTANT: For security reasons, Clients are prohibited from uploading files or attachments to their charts via the client portal. Only the professional has permission to upload files or attachments to the client's Attachments folder.
How to Remove or edit the Status, Sharing setting, Label, Description, Folder, and/or Date on an individual's attachment:
1. Select the Clients icon, and then click on the desired client’s name from the Active client list.
2. On the blue menu bar click the Attachments tab.
3. Click on No Folder, Folder Name, or View All to view the list of attachments.
4. Click edit (next to the pencil icon) in the info bar for the attachment you wish to change.
5. Make the appropriate changes and Save.
How to view an attachment within your browser.
1. Select the Clients icon, and then click on the desired client’s name from the Active client list.
2. On the blue menu bar click the Attachments tab.
2. Click on No Folder, Folder Name, or View All to view the list of attachments.
3. Click view* (next to the magnifying glass icon) in the info bar for the attachment you wish to view.
*NOTE: Attachment viewing is only available for .pdf, .jpg, .jpeg, .png, .tiff, and .txt files. Unsupported file types must be downloaded and viewed outside the system.
